baked apple brown sugar crisps
I am sharing this recipe from my blog called A Little Bit Frenchy. I love the crispy snap of these baked apples. Sweet and tart at the same time. I used Gala Apples. I think if you have a firm apple, they will come out great. Just experiment.

How To Make baked apple brown sugar crisps
-
1Tools Needed: Mandolin, Small grater (if using fresh nutmeg), Baking Sheets, Parchment Paper, Mixing Bowl 300 degree oven.
-
21. Rinse and dry your apples and cut out any brown spots. 2. Slice your apples with your mandolin cutter. Slice them carefully and thinly. If the slices are too thick you will not get the required crunch. Remove any seeds that you see. (DO NOT CORE OR PEEL THE APPLES)
-
3Now prepare your sheets by lining with parchment paper. Your oven should be heated to 300 degrees. Also, if you have 3 oven racks, use them all.
-
4In the mixing bowl stir together the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
-
5Gently coat apple slices in the brown sugar spice mixture. Be careful when coating, if you are too rough you will break your apples slices. I know, this happened to me more than a few times
-
6Place your spiced sugared apple slices on your baking sheets. Put as many sheets in the oven as you can and bake them all at the same time.
-
7Bake for 25 minutes, then flip apple slices over. At this point keep baking, but check them every 10 minutes until you get your desired crispness. Let cool.
