Had this once at Marie Callendars. It was so good I went home and made my own recipe for it. Love the smell of the apples baking in the oven.

Ingredients For apple pie sundae
- APPLE PIE INGREDIENTS

4 lgfuji apples sliced thin

1/4 csugar

1/4 clight brown sugar

3/4 tspground cinnamon

3/4 call-purpose flour

6 Tbspbutter
-
hagen daz vanilla ice cream
- BUTTER RUM SAUCE INGREDIENTS

1 csugar
-
1/2 cbutter
-
1/2 cheavy cream or half and half

1 tsprum extract

1 tspvanilla
How To Make apple pie sundae

1Preheat oven to 400 degrees

2Spray A 9 X 13 inch pan with cooking spray just to coat pan

3Arrange apple slices in pan

4Mix together 1/4 cup white sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar and the cinnamon

5Sprinkle over the apple slices

6Mix 1/3 cup white sugar with the flour

7Cut in the butter until crumbly

8Spoon mixture over apples
-
9Bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, or until done

10Let cool 20 minutes

11To make the butter rum sauce: In a medium sauce pan combine the sugar, butter, and cream.

12Using medium to low heat, heat the sugar, butter and cream until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves

13Add the rum extract and vanilla and stir until mixed in.

14To assemble: place a serving of apple mixture in a bowl or goblet, top the apple mixture with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the ice cream.
