Eat for breakfast,brunch,& dessert. If you want them as Ice cream cones make them a little lighter batter using a very small amount and lay on counter and roll into cone shape while still warm I came by this recipe by accident and have loved it since. You know, it occurred to me I have not made these in a very long time, I do not own a waffle maker. I will have to get one soon to make these and get a pic up.

Ingredients For wonderful waffles

  • 4
    egg yolks, reserve whites
  • 2 c
    heavy cream, cold
  • 2 c
    sifted flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    margarine, melted
  • 4
    egg whites
  • 1 Tbsp
    milk to desired consistency

How To Make wonderful waffles

    BEAT THE EGG YOLKS IN A LR. BOWL UNTIL THICK AND PALE YELLOW. ADD THE CREAM & MIX JUST UNTIL BLENDED. SIFT THE FLOUR, BAKING POWDER, SALT & SUGAR TOGETHER. ADD THE SIFTED DRY INGREDIENTS TO THE EGG YOLKS MIXTURE ALL AT ONCE AND STIR JUST UNTIL COMBINED. BLEND IN THE BUTTER JUST UNTIL SMOOTH. BEAT THE EGG WHITES IN A SM. BOWL UNTIL STIFF PEAKS FORM FOLD INTO THE BATTER GENTLY. THIN THE BATTER IF NEEDED WITH ENOUGH MILK TO MAKE THE DESIRED CONSISTENCY. COOK IN A WAFFLE IRON USING MANUFACTURING INSTRUCTIONS. SERVE WITH MELTED BUTTER, WARM MAPLE SYRUP AND FRESH FRUIT
