I couldn't wait to share with you! The smell of grilled peaches with spices is devine!!! Add in marshmallows and ice cream and you have one really tasty dessert. Yes, it is delicious and a very fun dessert to make. You can cook them on the grill, over a campfire or in the stove. Even the toaster oven would work for that matter. A great dessert for the entire family and fun for kids to help prepare & get to eat them too. This is also great for a "grill out" party with guests. The idea is to have a melted mallow inside a tender spicy grilled peach. I felt it necessary to top the peaches with ice cream and the remaining spicy peach juice in the tin. Well what can I say, it seemed like the right thing to do. lol The recipe for Peachy Mallow came from a camping cookbook that I have. I just added the A la Mode and some additional spices. I hope you enjoy them as much as we did.

Ingredients For peachy mallow a la mode

  • tinfoil
  • peaches
  • butter
  • cinnamon sugar, all spice and/or cardamom (or you can make your own spice creation)
  • marshmallows
  • vanilla bean ice cream

How To Make peachy mallow a la mode

    Slice peaches in half and remove the pit. Heat some butter in a small sauce pan. Dip you marshmallows into the melted butter. Roll them in the cinnamon sugar or other spices of your choice. Coat them well with the spices. Now place the marshmallow into the center of peach and put the other half back on top. Wrap in tin foil. Grill for 10 - 12 minutes or in stove at 350 on a baking sheet for 8-12 minutes. [The goal is to have a melted marshmallow still visible. Or not, as I seem to manage to do most of the time.] OK, update I finally did it. Kept checking on them and pulled them out before the mallow melted. hehe You could have some fun with it and tell the kids your are a magican and will make the marshmallow disappear. lol

    Remove from grill and place in bowl. Open your tin packet.

    Lift off the top half of peach and allow the steam to escape.

    Add your vanilla ice cream and then pour the remaining juice from tin over the top.
