We grew up with this homemade ice cream and still make it for special days. It is the best homemade ice cream I've tasted, however, it does contain raw eggs, which some of you may be reluctant to use.

Ingredients For mom's homemade ice cream

6eggs, beaten untl fluffy

2 1/4 csugar
-
1 canevaporated milk
-
1 pthalf and half (may use up to 2 pints)

2 1/2 Tbspreal vanilla extract (or 5 tbls. artificial)

1 pinchsalt
-
whole milk
How To Make mom's homemade ice cream

1To the well beaten eggs, add remaining ingredients and beat thoroughtly. Pour into ice cream freezer can and add whole milk until the can is 3/4 full. Crank and freeze per your freezer instructions.
