A very Good syrup For chocolate milk or as a Ice cream Topping. I still make this today with my younger son David who loves Chocolate milk .

Ingredients For great gram ( metcalfe) luthers homemade chocolate syrup

  • 1/2 c
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 1 c
    cold water
  • 2 c
    sugar * stirred in
  • dash
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract - stirred in after sugar mixture has finished boiling

    Mix first four Ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a slow Boil.Continue boiling for 3 minutes being careful not to burn.Add Vanilla and stir. cool slightly.Pour into glass jar and keep tightly closed in the refrigerator.
