My Grandma's recipe. Modified for using a deep fryer or electric skillet.

Ingredients For fried ice creme

  • 3 c
    ice cream
  • 1/4 c
    heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/4 c
    graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • oil for deep frying

How To Make fried ice creme

    Heat oil at 375. Using 1/2 cup ice cream place six scoops on bake sheet. Freeze. Place heavy cream in shallow bowl. Combine crackers and cinnamon in smaller bowl

    Dip & roll icre cream in heavy cream then in crackers & cinnamon. Cover and freeze 1 hr.

    Roll ice cream in heavy cream then crackers and cinnamon again. Freeze for 15 minutes.

    In a electric skillet or deep fryer, heat oil. Fry the ice cream scoops 10 to 15 seconds, till lightly brown. Drain on wax.
