Ingredients For drema's "flaming bananas"

  • 1/2 c
    butter or margarine
  • 2/3 c
    brown sugar, light, packed
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 4
    bananas, med ripe
  • 1/3 c
    rum, white
  • vanilla bean ice cream

How To Make drema's "flaming bananas"

    In chaffing dish, melt butter and sugar with cinnamon. Cook over medium high heat, stirring occasionally,until golden brown - aboaut 3 minutes. Into chaffing dish, cut bananas diagonally 1/2-inch slices; heat throughly carefully turning to coat slices with mixture.

    Heat rum in small mcirowave-safe bowl - until just warm. Pour slowly over slices and ignite immediately. Do not stir. Spoon sauce and banans over ice cream. Enjoy!!!!
