  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 lg
    bananas, not quite ripe
  • 1/2 c
    dark brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3 Tbsp
    dekuyper creme de banana (banana liqueur)
  • 2 Tbsp
    dark rum
  • 2 Tbsp
    kahlua (coffee liqueur)
  • 1/4 c
    orange juice, fresh
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • vanilla ice cream

How To Make coffee liqueur bananas foster

    In medium skillet over medium high heat, melt butter. Cut bananas in half lengthwise. Add bananas; cook, turning once, about 1 minute per side. Remove from pan.

    To same pan, add sugar, banana liqueur, rum & kahlua; simmer 2 minutes. Remove skillet from heat; ignite alcohol with a long kitchen match. When flame is out, add juice, cinnamon & nutmeg; simmer until thickened, about 3 - 5 minutes.

    Return bananas to skillet; spoon sauce over for 1 minute. Serve with ice cream.
