Ingredients For cherries jubilee

  • 4 Tbsp
    unsalted butter
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 lb
    bing cherries, stemmed and pitted
  • 1/4 c
    kirsch (cherry brandy)
  • ~~
    vanilla ice cream

How To Make cherries jubilee

  • 1
    In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sugar and cherries and stir to combine. Cook until cherries are tender and sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Remove skillet from heat. Add Kirsch, and carefully ignite using a long handled lighter. When flame is extinguished or burns out, serve over vanilla ice cream.
