I haven't made this yet but I will be making it for Saturday June 30, 2012 for an Ice Cream Social. I will let you know how well it is liked.

Ingredients For butter pecan ice cream

2 clight cream

1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

2 Tbspbutter, cold

2 cheavy cream

1 tspvanilla extract

1/2 ctoasted chopped pecans
How To Make butter pecan ice cream

1Combine the light cream, sugar, and butter in a medium saucepan. Cook stirring constantly over low heat until bubbles form around the edges of the pan. Let the mixture cool and put it in the ice cream machine.

2Stir in heavy cream and vanilla.

3Freeze as directed by your machine's manufacturer.

4Add pecans after ice cream begins to harden.
