    red pears, rough diced
  • 3
    apples, red delicious, rough diced
  • 4 c
    oatmeal bread, cubed
  • 1 c
    quick cook oatmeal
  • 1 c
    molasses
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp
    apple pie spice

    Preheat oven at 350.
  • 2
    In a Pyrex square baking dish (spray with non-stick spray), first make a layer of cubed bread, sprinkle oatmeal, then mixed apples and pear, then top with more bread, oatmeal, fruit, etc. Make sure your last layer is fruit, then sprinkle with oatmeal. Press down firmly.

    In a mixing bowl, whisk the rest of the ingredients. Pour over bread fruit mix. Make sure to pour over each part of the top layer.

    Bake for 35-40 minutes.

    Serve with your favorite ice cream. My husband likes it with Southern Pecan.
