I came across this sweet, easy dessert. Lots of berries and a crisp sweet crust makes this dessert very tasty. Very few ingredients are needed to make it. I made this for my small group that has young ladies in it. I like to cook simple meals in this small group. The gals really loved it! I used blueberries, but you could use any fruit.

Ingredients For summer berry gallette

1premade pie crust (thawed if frozen)

2 cfresh fruit, cut in small pieces

1/4 csugar, plus more for sprinkling

2 Tbspcornstarch
-
1 Tbspfresh lemon juice
-
1 Tbspvanilla extract

1 cchopped pecans, coarsely chopped

1 lgegg
How To Make summer berry gallette

1Lay out the pie crust onto a greased cooking stone. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

2In a medium bowl, combine the fruit, sugar, cornstarch, lemon, vanilla, and pecans. Mix well.

3Add the mixture to the center of the crust. Spread the mixture out leaving 2 inches bare around the edges. Fold up the edges close to the fruit, pleating as you go to keep it in a round shape.

4Crack the egg into a small bowl and whisk. Brush the egg wash onto the outside of the pleaded crust then sprinkle with a little more sugar.

5Bake 18 to 20 minutes. Gently remove from the oven and let cool about 10 minutes.

6Cut and serve – enjoy!
