Ingredients For strawberry scone

  • 6 Tbsp
    cold butter, cubed n refrigerated
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 lg
    eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/3 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/3 c
    fresh strawberries, choppd
  • 2 Tbsp
    heavy cream, to brush ontop of scones
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar, to sprinkle ontop of scones

How To Make strawberry scone

    PREHEAT OVEN TO 400 LINE A BAKING SHEET WITH PARCHMENT PAPER. CUT BUTTER INTO CUBES N RETURN TO FRIDGE.

    COMBINE FLOUR, 3 TBLSPNS OF SUGAR, BAKING POWDER N SALT. ADD COLD CUBED BUTTER... PINCH N RUB WITH UR FINGERTIPS UNTIL BUTTER IS WELL DISTRIBUTED, MIXTURE SHOULD LOOK LIKE COARSE MEAL.

    GENTLY STIR IN EGGS N 1/3 CUP HEAVY CREAM UNTIL MIXTURE FORMS A SOFT DOUGH. STIR IN CHOPPD STRAWBERRIES.

    ON A LIGHTLY FLOURED WORK SURFACE PAT DOUGH INTO A 1" THICK RECTANGLE ABOUT 10" LONG. CUT DOUGH INTO 8 TRIANGLES N BRUSH WITH HEAVY CREAM N SPRINKLE WITH SUGAR.
