When I was in grade school and high school our cafeteria served us a pineapple dessert that everyone looked forward to on Friday's. After 20 years, I found a way to capture my old memories....If you like pineapple, You're going to love this treat. To make it extra special, have it A La Mode.

Ingredients For pineapple dessert bars

1 call purpose flour

1 cquick cooking oats

2/3 cpacked brown sugar

1/4 tspbaking soda

1/2 cbutter, melted

1 can15 oz. crushed pineapple, 100% juice only

1 Tbspdark brown sugar
How To Make pineapple dessert bars

1First set your oven at 350 degree so it can warm up. In a medum bowl combine flour, oats, brown sugar and baking soda. Set aside.

2In a small saucepan, melt the 1/2c of butter. Heat should be on the lowest setting so not to burn the butter. No browning.

3In a stand or had mixer on medium speed, combine all ingredients together. Mixture should be crumbly. In a 9x9 square pan add 1 1/2 cups of crumble to the bottom of the pan, then press it down. Strain canned pineapple. Add fruit to the top of mixture. Sprinkle 1 tbsp. of Dark Brown Sugar over pineapple. Pour the rest of the oat mix on top. Press down slightly. Bake for 10-15 mins. Make sure that the to is a golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool. ENJOY!!!
