Wish you had a yummy homemade dessert, but you only have a can of pears and a handful of grapes? You can make this delicious crisp with whatever you have on hand. Easy to fix, too! Top it with a dollop of cool whip or whipped cream or a scoop of your favorite ice cream. Sure to please the family. I am happy to share my recipe with you!Enjoy! Ingredients For bonnie's pear and grape crisp
- 1ST LAYER

1/2 call purpose flour

1/3 cbrown sugar, packed

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tspground cinnamon
-
1/4 tspground nutmeg
-
1 1/2 cgreen seedless grapes, halved
-
1 cansliced pears, drained (15 oz)
- 2ND LAYER
-
2 Tbspflour
-
1/4 ccold butter
-
1/2 cwalnuts, finely chopped
-
1 tspalmond extract
How To Make bonnie's pear and grape crisp

1EQUIPMENT: You will need a glass 8X8 greased baking dish, and a medium mixing bowl and small mixing bowl.

2OVEN TEMPERATURE AND TIME: Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees and bake 30 minutes.

3MAKING THE 1ST LAYER: in the small mixing bowl, combine the sliced pears and the seedless, halved grapes. Add 2 tablespoons of flour and the almond extract and mix gently. Add this mixture evenly to the greased glass baking dish.

4MAKING THE 2ND LAYER: In the medium mixing bowl, add brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour. Cut in the butter in until the mixture is of a coarse texture. Add the chopped walnuts, mix, and sprinkle this mixture over the fruit layer, spread it evenly. Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees until lightly browned.
