Peach and Blueberries ! Nice new treat to try ! You could mix a different fruit in of course, like sneak a few cranberries in. I used less sugar than called for and made it in an 8 inch deep glass pie plate. Originally required this recipe from the Wellfleet Audubon Cookbook several years ago.

Ingredients For peach-a-berry cobbler

  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    cold water
  • 2 c
    sliced fresh peaches, mixed with 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 c
    fresh blueberries
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter or margarine
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • CRUST:
  • 1 c
    sifted all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/4 c
    soft butter or margarine
  • NUTMEG TOPPING:
  • 2 TABLESPOONS SUGAR MIXED WITH 1/4 TEASPOON NUTMEG

How To Make peach-a-berry cobbler

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees Mix first three ingredients; add fruits. Cook and stir until mixture thickens. Add butter and lemon juice. Pour into 9 X 13 inch baking pan.

    Crust: Sift together dry ingredients. Add milk and butter all at once. Beat til smooth. Spread over fruit. Sprinkle with Nutmeg Topper.

    Bake cobbler in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until done. Serve with cream or ice cream.
