NEVADA: Munch your way across the USA. Melissa Wright, the state of Nevada is now represented. This recipe is from "Capitol Cookies" with recipes from every state & Washington, DC. This recipe was submitted by Seeliger School PTA, Carson City, NV, Bessie Wooldridge, Chairperson. One of my friends made this and it was very good but I personally have not made this so, Melissa, if you make this, let us know if it makes this state proud.

Ingredients For nevada fruit pizza

18 ozpkg refeigerated sugar cookie dough

8 ozcream cheese, softened

4 ozwhipped topping mix

1 ptstrawberries, sliced

8 ozpineapple chunks, drained

1 csliced peaches, drained
-
kiwi, peeled & sliced
-
sliced bananas, dipped in lemon juice
- GLAZE:

1/2 corange juice
-
1/2 cgranulated sugar

1 tspcornstarch
How To Make nevada fruit pizza

1Cut cookie dough into 1/8" slices and arrange on greased pizza pan, beginning 1/4" from edge and continuing inward; arrange in circular pattern.

2Press lightly together to seal. Bake @350 for 10-12 minutes. Crust is done when edges are brown. Top will not be brown. Cool completely.

3While cooling crust, blend cream cheese and whipped topping together and spread onto cooled crust.

4Arrange strawberries around edge, continuing with fruits in circular pattern.

5GLAZE: Prepare glaze by slowly bringing ingredients to a boil. Drizzle over fruit. Refrigerat leftovers.
