My mother's peach crisp is SO good--it's right up there with her fabulous apple crisp, or blueberry crisp, or cherry crisp, or any other crisp that she could come up with. The oats are the magic ingredient. 06/23/2018

Ingredients For my mother's peach crisp

6fresh peaches, peeled and sliced thin

1/2 cquick cooking oats

1/2 call purpose flour

1 cbrown sugar

1/2 cbutter, softened

3/4 tspground cinnamon

1/2 tspground nutmeg
How To Make my mother's peach crisp

1Spread the peaches in a lightly greased 9" square pan or loaf pan.

2In a large bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, oatmeal, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir thoroughly.

3Sprinkle the topping mixture evenly over the peaches.

4Bake in a preheated 375º oven for 30 minutes or until topping has started to turn brown.

5Serve warm with a large dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream--and enjoy!
