My mom came up with this one by combining two recipes from different books. She came out with a family favorite! There are never any leftovers!

Ingredients For mom's peach cobbler
- CRUST

2 cbisquick baking mix

2/3 csugar

3/4 tspcinnamon

1egg
-
1/3 cshortening
- FILLING

3 cpeaches, peeled and sliced

3/4 csugar

1/4 cflou
-
1/4 tspsalt

2 Tbspbutter
-
1/4 tspalmond extract or vanilla extract

1/2 cmaraschino cherry juice
How To Make mom's peach cobbler

1Combine all crust ingredients and spread about 2/3 of the mixture on the bottom of a baking dish.

2For filling: in a sauce pan combine sugar, flour, salt and cherry juice. Cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly, plus one additional minute. Mix in butter, extract and peaches. Pour over crust.

3Sprinkle remaining crust mixture over fruit filling.

4Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes, until bubbly and browned.
