As the title implies, this recipe comes from my late grandmother, as shared with me by my mother.

Ingredients For memaw's peach cobbler

  • 1/4 c
    + 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 c
    sugar (divided)
  • 3/4 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 dash
    salt
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    sliced peaches

How To Make memaw's peach cobbler

  • 1
    Melt butter in 2 qt. baking dish. Combine 1 c. sugar, flour, baking powder, salt. Add milk and stir until mixed. Pour batter over butter in baking dish; do not stir. Combine peaches and remaining sugar. Spoon over batter. Do not stir. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
