Ingredients For melt in your mouth apple-pecan crisp

  • 5 lg
    granny smith apples, peeled, cut into 1/4"-thick slices
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 3/4 c
    flour
  • 3/4 c
    packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 3/4 c
    chopped pecans

How To Make melt in your mouth apple-pecan crisp

    Lightly spray inside liner of slow-cooker w/ cooking spray. Place apple slices in bottom of slow-cooker, drizzle w/ lemon juice, toss to coat.

    In bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Cut in butter w/ 2 forks until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.

    Cover, cook on high 2-3 hrs, or until apples are tender. I find that it takes about 1 hr and 30 mins. Sprinkle w/ pecans and serve warm w/ whipped cream or ice cream.
