Around Thanksgiving time I have lots of apples leftover from making pies for chruch, friends & family. I love fresh baked apples. This is a qucik & yummmy way of getting rid of leftover apples.

Ingredients For kit's apple apple crumble

  • FILLING:
  • 3 lg
    apples peeled,cored & coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1- 2 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 c
    butter, cut into small pieces
  • TOPPINGS:
  • 1 pkg
    oatmeal cookie mix
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts, chopped

How To Make kit's apple apple crumble

    First pre-heat the oven to 300F. Spray the bottom & sides of a 8 inch square baking dish. Then in a large bowl, toss the filling ingredients together. Then spread the mixture in the baking dish.

    Next in the same bowl mix the cookie mix & melted butter until crumbly. Then sprinkle over the filling.

    Then bake for about 40 mins or until bubbly. Remove from the oven & sprinkle with the nuts. Return to theoven & bake for about 15 to 20 minslonger or until is golden brown. Best serve warm.
