How To Make jake's huckleberry dessert
-
1Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a mixing bowl add the sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Mix with wire whip and add more or less sugar to your taste..a little on the sweet side to complement the berries.
-
2In 4 custard dishes, add 1/4 cup of frozen huckleberries into each dish. Divide the sour cream mixture evenly between the custard dishes on top of the berries.
-
3Oops, my husband stepped in and said it did not look right. The berries had been mixed into the sour cream, so that it looked purple.
-
4Sprinkle with brown sugar (again) and bake in oven until the brown sugar has melted and sort of caramelized. About 10 minutes.
