My family and friends love this Grilling Time Of Year..A lot of us also have huge Sweet-tooth's...me included. All of us being big shortcake fans, I thought this addition to our grilling times together, would make a special ending to our grilled meals together.

Ingredients For grilled friut shortcake kabobs with strawberry orange marmalade syrup

1/4 cstrawberry syrup

1/4 corange marmalade

2 1/2 cfresh plums, pitted and quartered

2 1/2 cfresh pineapple, cut into chunks

3 cwhole fresh strawberries, stem removed

16 ozfrozen pound cake, thawed and cut into 2 ½-inch cubes1 loaf,

10(10-inch) bamboo skewers, pre-soaked in water

11.) In a small bowl, mix strawberry syrup and orange marmalade together until blended; set aside.

22.) Alternately, thread 2 plums quarters, 2 pineapple chunks, 1 or 2 cake cubes and 2 whole strawberries onto each bamboo skewer. Place kabobs on a large sheet of heavy-duty foil over top of large serving tray.

33.) Heat gas or charcoal grill to medium heat. Place foil lined kabobs onto heated grill, line kabobs single file next to each other and heat for 1 to 1½ minutes on each side, or until cake is lightly golden brown and fruit in tender, brushing occasionally with strawberry orange marmalade syrup.

44.) Remove kabobs from grill, place onto serving tray and serve.
