4 cpeeled, sliced macintosh or honey crisp apples

1/4 corange juice

1 csugar

3/4 call-purpose flour

1/2 tspcinnamon

1/4 tspground nutmeg

1/2 cbutter

dash salt
How To Make grandma's apple betty

1Mound apples in buttered 9 inch pie plate. Sprinkle with orange juice.

2Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt in a medium bowl. Cut in butter till mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.

3Bake at 375 dgrees for 45 minutes or till apples are tender and topping is crisp. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
