Back when fruit pizzas first became popular, I decided to make one and I just tweaked my regular pizza crust recipe, not even realizing that usually fruit pizzas are made with a sugar cookie crust. We like it better this way!

How To Make fruit pizza
-
1Combine first five ingredients in a large mixing bowl, stir well then allow to stand for five minutes.
-
2Gradually add and knead in remaining flour until dough is no longer sticky. Place dough into a well oiled mxing bowl, and cover with a cloth. Allow dough to rise until doubled; approximately 1 hour.
-
3Gently punch down dough. Press into lightly greased pizza pan. Using a fork, gently stab all over the pizza dough (this prevents the dough from rising too much during baking). Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
-
4Allow cream to soften to room temperature (or soften using a microwave). Mix in sugar (to taste) and vanilla. Spread over COOLED pizza crust.
-
5Top with sliced fruit of your choice. This fruit pizza is tastes best after it has been allowed to cool in the refrigerator for several hours.
