I created this recipe for my husband for Father's Day,& because I wanted it to be special I used ingredients and steps from 3 different recipes. Results were AWESOME. I also used the KORINTJE CINNAMON 3% OIL. The same kind of cinnamon used to make the CINNABONS. The flavor is amazing. Combine that with butter, and Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Extract, you have nothing but a winner. My husband was so pleased, when he is happy I am happy. The caramel flavors blended together as it cooked in the oven and the aroma was to die for. NOTHING BUT GOODNESS for a special hubby that works hard all year.

Ingredients For dan's father's day apple crisp

10-12 lgapples, peeled & sliced, braeburn, granny smith, & red delicious

1 1/2 tspnutmeg
-
1 1/2 cwater
-
1 1/4 csplenda granuar( or regular sugar)

1 Tbspplus 2 teaspoons cinnamon ( i used korintje 3%oil)

1 Tbsppure vanilla extract ( i used madagascar bourbon vanilla extract)

3 Tbsplemon juice
-
1 1/2 csplenda brown sugar blend

2 call purpose flour
-
2 coatmeal
-
2 1/2 stickbutter, melted

1- 1 1/2 Tbspcorn starch
How To Make dan's father's day apple crisp

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray or butter a 9X15 size casserole dish with butter or cooking spray and set aside.

2Wash, peel & slice apples into thin slices. Place in large bowl & sprinkle with the nutmeg and toss with the lemon juice till fully coated, then add sliced apples to prepared dish and set aside.

3In a medium size sauce pan add splenda, cinnamon & corn starch and stir to combine. Then add water, and set over low heat, and bring to a simmer, and stir till SLIGHTLY thickened,remove from heat, add Vanilla, stir to mix & then pour over apples.

4Now combine the brown sugar blend with the flour, oatmeal, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, mix well to combine, then add the melted butter, and mix till crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over apples. Place in preheated 350 degree oven, or 325 degrees F if using a glass dish, and bake for 1 hour until topping is brown and crisp. and caramel is oozing & bubbling through top. Serve with your favorite ice Cream.

5Note you can also add nuts to the topping mixture if desired. You may also use regular sugar instead of splenda.You may also use less cinnamon if desired. This dish really made my husband very happy. I hope you like it too.
