This is to be found as the Sunday dinner dessert in almost every Danish home during the apple season. The recipe is from my childhood home. You can use store bought apple sauce, but I prefer and always use homemade.

Ingredients For danish apple cake

4 chomemade unsweetened, chunky applesauce

8-10sweet macro hearts

1 csweet bread crumbs

1 ptheavy cream for wipping

1/2 csugar

3slices of dry toast

How To Make danish apple cake

1First make the sweet bread crumbs. Take 3 slices very dry toast, crush it in a plastic bag. Pour ½ cup sugar in a skillet and 1 teaspoon butter and heat to melt. As soon as the sugar is melted reduce heat and pour the crumbs into the skillet and mix quickly then pour onto a baking sheet to cool.

2Wip the heavy cream and put in the fridge. in a half gallon bowl cover the bottom with 1 cup applesauce, then crush 4 of the macros and add some of the crumbs, repeat layering and top with cold wipcream...mmmmmmmm
