This is a newly adopted recipe I just tried last weekend in an attempt to use up some fresh apples and a can of cranberry.....lets just say we loved it.....very delicious.

Ingredients For comforting cranberry-apple crisp

3/4 csugar

2 Tbspall-purpose flour (i think i used whole wheat cause i was out of all purpose and it turned out fine)

16 ozwhole berry cranberry sauce

7 cthinly sliced peeled tart apples
- TOPPING:

1 cold-fashioned oats
-
1/3 call-purpose flour

1/3 cpacked brown sugar

1/4 cchopped walnuts

1 tspground cinnamon

1/4 ccold butter, cubed
How To Make comforting cranberry-apple crisp

1In a large bowl, combine sugar and flour, stir in cranberry sauce. Add the apples; toss to coat. Transfer to a greased 13x9 baking dish.

2In a small bowl, combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, walnuts and cinnamon; cut in butter till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples.

3Bake at 375* for 35-40 mins or till filling is bubbly and topping is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
