Ingredients For cinnamon apple puffs

1 cplus 2 tablespoons sugar

1 cwater

1/2 tspred food coloring drops

4 to 5apples, peeled and sliced

1/2 call purpose flour

1/2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 ccrisco shortening

3/4 cmilk

2 Tbspmelted butter
-
1/2 tspcinnamon
How To Make cinnamon apple puffs

1Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Ina small saucepan, boil the 1 cup sugar,water,and food coloring until it tickens to a syrup. Place the apples in a greased 8by12 inch pan,

2In large bowl sift together the dry ingredients and cut in shortening. Add the milkmenought to make a soft dough. Drop the dough by spoonfuls on top of the apples and make a dent in the top of each mound.

3In small bowl,combine the butter, 2 tablespoons sugar,and cinnamon. Place some cinnamon-sugar mixture in each dent. Bake for 25 to minutes. Serve warm with cool whip or ice cream.
