I made this recipe by tweaking my moms traditional cobbler recipe. I made it for her once, and she secretly confided in me that even she thought it was better than her own! My fiance, kids, and friends all give this one a "standing ovation." ;)

2 lgcans peaches in heavy syrup, 1 can drained

3/4 cgranulated sugar

1 Tbspcinnamon, ground

1/2 cbutter or margarine, melted

1 call-purpose flour

2 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspsalt

3/4 cmilk

1 Tbspcinnamon, ground

3/4 cgranulated sugar
How To Make holiday peach cobbler

1Mix peaches (1 can drianed, 1 can with syrup) with 3/4 cup sugar and 1 table spoon ground cinnamon. Place in baking dish.

2Combine flour, baking powder, salt, milk and remaining 3/4 cup sugar. Mix until just combined. Pour over peaches.

3Pour melted butter over cobbler. Sprinkle 1 table spoon ground cinnamon on top.

4Bake 45-50 minutes, until lightly browned and topping is cooked through. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream, or serve chilled with whipped cream.
