Ingredients For bourbon apple crisp

  • 8 or 10 md
    tart apples
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 md
    lemon zest, gratedd
  • 1 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1 stalk
    butter
  • 1/2 pt
    good kentucky bourbon
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    oldo fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    whipping cream, whipped

How To Make bourbon apple crisp

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • 2
    Butter a 13 x 9 x2 pan
  • 3
    Fill pan with apples and sprinkle with sugar, lemon, zest, and nutmeg
  • 4
    Dot with butter and drissel bourbon all over.

    Combine flour, baking powder, salt, rolled oats, brown sugar and 8 Tbl butter,1 tsp nutmeg, and cinnamon in a bowl. Mix with fingers. Pat down on apples

    Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 mins.

    Uncover and bake 20 mins more to brown top.

    Remove from oven. Cool 15 mins. Cut into squares while still warm. Put into desert dishes and put whipped cream around not on top. Can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with more bourbon.
