In Berry season, we put up berries in the freezer, and on Cool evenings we enjoy goodies like this favorite dessert, in front of the Fire.

Ingredients For 'blackberry dumplings"
- PART 1 BLACKBERRY MIXTURE

3 ptripe blackberries

3/4 cupwater

1 cupsugar

1 tspcinnamon

1 1/2 Tbspbutter softened, no margine
- PART 2 DUMPLING BATTER

2 cupflour
-
3 Tbssugar

1 Tspsalt

3 1/2 Tspbaking powder

1egg
-
milk to moisten batter
How To Make 'blackberry dumplings"

1Combine all ingredients in Part 1 in large stove top pan, and set aside.

2Sift all dry ingredients in part 2, into mixing bowl. Add: egg and mix well. Add enough milk to make a stiff batter and set aside.

3Bring Blackberry Mixture to a boil. Drop Dumplings into batter, a Teaspoon at a time. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Serve with Whip cream, or Vanilla Ice cream.
