i love blackberries, have fond memories of picking them. It is very rare anymore to get 2 cups of fresh black caps or blackberries, so when i do, i pig out!!! lol

Ingredients For blackberry crisp

  • 2 c
    fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    water
  • 1/2 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 c
    cold butter or margarin

How To Make blackberry crisp

  • 1
    Place blackberries in a greased baking dish. small bowl combine the sugar, cornstarch, water and lemon juice until smooth. Pour over berries. ZCombine the oats, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon, cut in butter til crumbly. Sprinkle over berries. Bake uncovered at 375 for 20 to 25 min.
