This recipe is similar to my mother's Apple Crisp and just as tasty. It is so much easier than baking a pie, in my opinion Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream would be a welcome addition, though it is wonderful on its own.

Ingredients For blackberry crisp

  • 1 can
    blackberry pie filling
  • 1/2 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 Tbsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 3/4 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp
    ground nutmeg

How To Make blackberry crisp

  • 1
    Lightly grease a regular sized loaf pan and empty the blackberry pie filling into the pan.

    In a large bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, oats, granulated sugar, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir until completely combined.

    Sprinkle the flour mixture evenly over the pie filling.

    Bake uncovered in a 375° oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until the topping is a golden brown.
