This recipe was in Grandma W's recipe box. I never thought I liked blackberry, until I had a blackberry pie in a restaurant in WI. I posted that recipe to JAP as well, and enjoy this as another wonderful blackberry treat.

Ingredients For blackberry cobbler

1 1/3 csugar

1/2 cflour
-
1/2 cbutter or margarine, melted

2 tspvanilla

2 bagfrosen blackberries, unthawed (14 oz each)

1/2 pkgrefrigerated piecrusts (15 oz pkg)

1 Tbspsugar

vanilla ice cream, optional
-
sugared piecrust sticks, optional
How To Make blackberry cobbler

1Stir together sugar, flour, margarine and vanilla (1st 4 ingredients) in a large bowl. Stir in blackberries very gently until sugar mixture is crumbly. Spoon this mixture into lightly greased 11x7 dish.

2Cut piecrust into 1/2 inch wide strips, arrange diagonally over blackberry mixture. Sprinkle top with 1 T sugar. Bake at 425 degrees 45 min or until crust is golden brown and center bubbly. Serve with ice cream and sugared piecrust sticks if desired.

3SUGARED PIECRUST STICKS: cut 1 piecrust into 1/2 inch thick strips. Sprinkle with 1 T sugar, place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees 6-8 min or until golden brown.
