Everyone just loves this dessert and I have had many compliments on it over the years. It is from the "Angels and Friends 1" cookbook.

Ingredients For banana split dessert

2 cgraham cracker crumbs

1/2 cgranulated sugar

2 stickbutter or margarine
-
2 cpowdered sugar

2eggs
-
4/6bananas
-
1 can#2 can crushed pineapple (drain well)

1 lgcool whip or 2pkgs. dream whip

3/4 cchopped nuts - optional
How To Make banana split dessert

1Melt 1stick margarine and mix with granulated sugar and crumbs. Press into 9X13 glass dish (bottom only)

2Beat for 10 min: Powdered sugar, 1 stick margarine and eggs. Spread over crumbs. Split bananas lengthwise over the top. Cover bananas with crushed drained pineapple. Top with Cool whip. Decorate with maraschino cherries and nuts if you want to. This dessert is best if it is chilled for 6-12 hours.
