This is a quick and tasty dessert! I found this recipe on a cooking site, posted by a cook named Lor. I tried it and liked it very much! I'm posting it the way I made it. This would also be delicious if you served it with ice cream!

Ingredients For banana rum fritters

3bananas
-
1/2 tsppure vanilla extract

1/2 tsprum of your choice

2 Tbspsugar
-
1 1/2 tspbaking powder

4 Tbspmilk
-
8 Tbspall purpose flour
-
1/4 tspgrated nutmeg

1/2 tspcinnamon powder
-
powdered sugar-to sprinkle on top

corn oil for frying
How To Make banana rum fritters

1Mash bananas until they are creamed.

2Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon.

3Add milk, vanilla, rum and bananas.Mix well.

4Heat about 1/2 inch of oil in a skillet on medium heat.

5Dip a large spoon into oil and scoop batter into the hot oil in the frying pan.

6Deep fry until they are brown and crisp on the edges.

7Drain on paper towels and serve with confectioners' sugar sprinkled on top and ice cream on the side.
