1/3 ccoarsely ground almonds

1/4 cfirmly packed light brown sugar

2 Tbspsoftened butter

1/2 corange juice

How To Make baked apples with honey and almonds

1Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut the apples in half lengthwise and remove the core and stem end.

2Place the apples cut-side up in a shallow baking dish. Combine the almonds, brown sugar, and butter and divide evenly into the center of each apple, mounding as needed.

3Combine the orange juice and honey in a glass measuring cup and microwave 30 seconds to warm slightly and dissolve the honey. Pour over the apples.

4Bake 35-45 minutes or until the apples are fork tender and the topping is browned.
