1/2 call purpose flour

1/2 cold-fashioned oats

1/2 cbrown sugar, lightly packed

1 stickbutter, softened

1 tspcinnamon, divided

1/2 cgranulated sugar

1/4 tspsalt

1/4 tspnutmeg

1 Tbspcornstarch

3-4 lgapples

2 lgpears

2 tsplemon juice

1/4 cwalnuts, chopped
How To Make autumn fruit crisp

1Preheat oven to 375ºF. Spray an 8-inch square baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

2In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, oats, brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Add butter and mix with a fork until crumbly.

3In a small bowl, mix together granulated sugar, salt, nutmeg, remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and cornstarch; set aside.

4Peel, core, and slice apples and pears; add to a large bowl. Add lemon juice and walnuts. Mix in sugar mixture; gently stir to mix well.

5Pour into prepared baking dish, spreading to level fruit.

6Add flour mixture on top of fruit, and spread to cover evenly.

7Bake uncovered until fruit is bubbly and topping is lightly brown, approx. 40 minutes.
