Wanted to try making a new recipe with Puff Pastry. Turned out Delicious!

Ingredients For apple strudel (jean's)

  • 2 md
    granny smith apples
  • 1 sheet
    puff pastry sheet, thawed
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour

How To Make apple strudel (jean's)

    Thaw one sheet Puff Pastry. Let come to room temperature about 40 minutes.

    Meanwhile wash and peel the apples. Slice thinly.
  • 3
    Mix cinnamon, sugar and flour in small bowl. Sprinkle over apples and mix gently.

    When puff pastry is thawed, unfold on lightly dusted pastry sheet. Roll out with rolling pin to about an 11 inch square.

    Transfer puff pastry to a parchment lined cookie sheet.

    Add apples to the center of the puff pastry. On the outside edges of the pastry make diagonal slits about every 3/4 inch., on both sides

    Then criss cross pastry over apples. Brush pastry with small amount of water. Sprinkle sugar over top. (I used Raw sugar)

    Bake in 350º oven for about 40 minutes or until golden brown.
