I found this recipe when I was 16 years old for my grandpa who was diabetic and who had a sweet tooth. So I made it just for him and he loved it!! Now I have family who beg for it when we have family outings.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples (your choice)
  • 2 cups diced strawberries
  • 3 - diced kiwi
  • 2 medium oranges juiced
  • 2 tablespoons apple jelly
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint ( optinal)
  • 1/2 cup sugar cinnamon mixture
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 8-10 medium soft taco shells

How To Make apple salsa

  • Step 1
    Dice apples, strawberries, and kiwi and place in bowl juice the 2 oranges add to fruit. Add apple jelly, brown sugar, and mint if you choose into fruit and refrigerate.
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven to 350-400 degrees. Melt butter and brush onto soft taco shells sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Cut into 8's and place on baking sheet. Bake for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool and serve with the fruit salsa.
