There are so many Apple Crisps recipes out there...this one is older than dirt and I have been making this for many moons....tonight when my DH was leaving for work I told him I'd make him something for later when he got home...I suggested apple pie ...he asked for this...it gets lots of requests from family and friends. It is so delicious and easy!!! You can use all apples if you like or other fruit...peaches are delicious with this too. My own photo taken right after it was baked.

Ingredients For apple - pear crisp

  • 1/3 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/4 c
    brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/3 c
    flour
  • 2/3 c
    rolled oats
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 3
    peeled and sliced pears
  • 3
    peeled and sliced apples

How To Make apple - pear crisp

  • 1
    Grease a 8 x8 square dish. Cream together the butter and brown sugar.stir in until crumbly the flour, oats and cinnamon. Arrange the sliced apples and pears in the dish and sprinkle with the flour mixture. Bake at 375 for approx 40 mins till topping is golden brown. You will notice the apples bubbling up through the topping. Serve warm with ice cream or vanilla whipped cream.
