Ingredients For apple fritters

  • 2
    granny smith apples
  • 1 Tbsp
    powdered sugar
  • 2/3 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    lemon peel
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • oil for frying
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    cinnamon

How To Make apple fritters

    Core apples, cut each apple crosswise into 6 slices. In lg bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, lemon peel and baking powder. In another bowl, whisk egg, milk and 1 tsp oil until combined. Add egg mix to flour mix, beat until smooth. Dip apple rings into batter, draining off excess. Fry 2-3 fritters at a time in hot oil, until browned. Drain on paper towels. In small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Dip fritters into sugar-cinnamon mix.
