My mom made this wonderful apple tart for me and I instantly put it on my list of favorites.

Ingredients For apple cream tart

  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • FILLING
  • 3 lg
    granny smith apples, peeled and sliced thin
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 2
    egg yolks

How To Make apple cream tart

  • 1
    Combine flour, sugar and salt. Cut in butter. Press into spring form pan 1 inch up the sides. Arrange sliced apples over cruse. Combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Beat cream and yolks together. Pour over apples and bake until apples are tender and filling is set. Approx. 15-20 min. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
