This delectable apple cobbler recipe is made from scratch and is full of fresh apples, brown sugar, and warm spices. It quickly comes together and tastes as great as Grandma’s recipe. It is one of our favorite apple desserts, and I like to serve it with fresh whipped cream sprinkled with cinnamon or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You will love this dessert If you like apple pie, apple cake, apple crumble, or apple crisp.

How To Make apple cobbler

  • 1
To make the apple filling, combine the apples, lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl. Toss to coat.
  • 2
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. To make the cobbler topping, add the butter to a 9 x 13 pan and place in the oven to melt. It only takes a few minutes, so keep an eye on it because you don’t want it to be brown or burn. Remove from the oven and let cool while you do the other steps.
  • 3
Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Pour in the milk and vanilla and stir to combine. Pour the batter into the pan over the butter. Do NOT mix in. Spoon the apple mixture on top. Do NOT mix in.
  • 4
Bake for 50-55 minutes or until golden brown and set. Serve warm or cold.
