Came across this recipe about 35 years ago while visiting my in-laws. Picked up their very thin newspaper to read (which I normally didn't do) and found this recipe. It has been a MAJOR FAVORITE in our household ever since. My husband usually requests it for his birthday cake. It takes less than an hour from start to finish. Very moist !!

Ingredients For double chocolate pound cake

  • 1 pkg
    super moist chocolate fudge cake mix (betty crocker)
  • 2/3 c
    water
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 c
    miniature chocolate chips

How To Make double chocolate pound cake

  • 1
    Beat cake mix, water, eggs and sour cream on low speed until well blended; then on medium speed for 2 minutes. Fold in chips by hand. Pour into greased and floured 12-cup bundt or tube pan. Bake at 350º for 40 minutes. (do the toothpick test to make sure it’s done) Cool 10 minutes in pan then invert on serving plate. ( I use Pam cooking spray in bundt pan)
