Bread pudding is one of our favorite family desserts. This is one of the variations I make.

Ingredients For raisin bread pudding

  • 8 slice
    raisin bread
  • 2 c
    applesauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 4
    eggs,beaten
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • dash
    nutmeg
  • 4 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make raisin bread pudding

    Preheat oven to 350' Grease a 1 quart casserole dish Place half the bread cubes in it. In a small bowl, combine, applsauce, cinnamon and nutmeg.

    Spread this mixture over bread cubes. Top with the rest of the bread cubes. Dot with butter. Place the remaining ingredients (eggs, milk,sugar and vanilla) in a bowl.

    Pour over bread cubes. Bake for 60 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean. Serve warm or cold with whipped topping or ice cream. Enjoy!
