I love warm rice pudding on a cool evening! You can add raisins to this if you'd like; just stir in 1/4 cup of raisins before pouring into dessert bowls.

Ingredients For old fashioned rice pudding

1 ccold, cooked rice

1/2 csugar

2 Tbspcorn starch

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tspground nutmeg

2 cmilk

1 Tbspbutter

1/2 tspvanilla extract

2 drops yellow food coloring (optional)

dollop of whip cream (optional)

1/4 tspground cinnamon (optional)
How To Make old fashioned rice pudding

1Combine rice, sugar, butter, salt, cornstarch, vanilla extract, milk, food color and nutmeg into 1-quart sauce pan. Stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly.

2Let cool slightly; pour into dessert cups and allow to cool completely.

3Garnish with a dollop of whip cream and sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon.
